Growing Tips
It's very easy to grow. It does like to spread so be conscious of this when choosing a planting home. It does best in full sun, or part sun, and in well draining soil although it can tolerate heavy clay. It can also be a great perennial to plant near the base of fruit trees to deter rodents from chewing the bark of your trees.
The root cuttings should be planted in cultivated soil free from weeds. Bury the root on it's side about 1 inch deep. Keep well watered and weeded until established. Hardy to zone 3
More about Horseradish
Horseradish is a vigorous perennial that forms very long roots that are great for making spicy condiments. If you think you liked horseradish from the store, you will love the taste of it home grown! The greens can also be sauteed in stir fries and other dishes as cooked green- they have a nice mustardy flavour.
